Beginning Ancient Greek at CYA offers students a unique opportunity to learn the language in action. With a set of new, creative and refreshing additions, the course stands to be a highlight this upcoming fall semester!
CYA takes on contemporary Europe!
The summer session II course, MS385 Europe’s Multi-Dimensional Crisis: Migration, Economy and Security saw professors Ritsa Panagiotou, Angeliki Dimitriadi and Thanos Dokos lead students through a complex, multi-layered and at times interlinked exploration of the issues that impact the fabric and the very future of Europe.
Exploring the Mediterranean diet doesn’t get any better than this. The summer II Anthropology of Food Course taught by Prof. Aimee Placas saw students venture beyond the classroom to farms, vineyards, groves, restaurants, markets, museums, kitchens, sweet shops, cooperatives, NGOs, and festivals on a quest to experientially study food in Greece, on all levels.
Learning about Bronze Age Art doesn’t get any more hands-on than this!
See how Prof. Papadopoulos’ class, MS347 When Egypt meets the Aegean: Interconnections in the Bronze Age Eastern Mediterranean got in touch with their creative side during these exciting summer session II workshops.
