We are pleased to invite you to the lecture, The Greek Crisis & Soccer Club Identities: Athens Bourgeois, Piraeus Proletarians & Asia Minor Refugees by Prof. Alexander Kitroeff Haverford College 7: 30 Tuesday 14 November 2017.
On the evening of Saturday, September 23rd, a friend and I attended an event as a part of the city-wide Art Night Athens. Starting at 20:00, attendees gathered in the Megaron garden, to hear the voices of over 200 participants, as they read, sang, chanted, and embellished the words of Homer’s The Odyssey.
At CYA it is our mission to not only educate students about Greece but the world as a whole. We teach our students how to learn and how to approach and discover a site, as well as the dedication needed to progress and succeed in life, both academically and personally. In line with this mission, the first ever CYA Orientation field trip transported students to the center of the world, Delphi. The ideal starting point to start their study abroad journey and to feel inspired to branch out and discover the rest of the world.
It was a great first week here at CYA, as we kicked off fall semester by welcoming 110 students from over 50 schools across the U.S, all set to embark on the marvelous voyage of study abroad in Greece. This fall semester’s students are as usual a brilliant bunch of young people willing and eager to immerse themselves in one of the most exciting academic and personal experiences of a lifetime.
CYA is a non-profit educational institution that has been offering semester, academic year, and summer study abroad programs in Greece for over 5 decades. We are proud to be on the GoAbroad list of Top Study Abroad programs of 2017.
